Word to our sponsors.

We would just like to say that we are very happy with all of the support our sponsors have given us over the years.  Everyone at Adams Cycle Repair helped by supporting us with many new parts for our bikes, gave expert advice, and provided us with unmatched service.  Competition Direct has supplied us with the best tire in the industry.  Pirelli tires give superior traction to help put the power to the ground.  Afam provided the best chain and sprocket kits out there.  These sponsors provide nothing but the best support and we are very grateful.

Once again we are going to try and give it a go.  Marlin finally moved into his house and has been working on a practice track. District 5 has gotten a lot of rain so far this year and Josh hasn't been riding much. Hopefully the weather breaks soon and we can start practicing and racing again. We are going to try and ride as much as possible this year and get back up to speed. Since Marlin has a place to ride in Virginia, we will be able to practice all winter. Hopefully we will be riding fast by next Spring.

4/04/02
Racing season has started again and we are getting prepared.  The weather in District 5 has been really cold and wet so the season is getting a late start.  Josh got a new KX 250 and has been riding as often as he can.  Marlin is getting closer to buying some land and is really concentrating on that right now.

1/24/02
We took a break over winter so we haven't raced in a while. Since the holidays are over we will begin to get ready for this years season. Marlin's looking for some land to buy and put a house on. This is taking up most of his time right now. If he gets enough land then he will have a place to practice everyday. Josh has been skiing a little this winter to stay active. His job does not give him much free time to go south to ride, so he will probably wait till the snow melts before he starts riding again. We look forward to this season and hopefully we will be able to ride more often.

9/30/01
We finally got to another race and this weekend we competed at Steel City. The track was real nice and we both felt good all day. We decided to race Collegeboy because we have not raced in a while. The first moto went real well with Marlin finishing 11th and Josh finishing 13th. The second moto was not to bad but the sun started going down and we couldn't see on some parts of the track. We are not sure what our overall was because it was so late after the second moto we decide to leave without checking. There were about 25 riders in the class and we felt pretty good.

7/5/01
We took a little break from racing but we are still riding often. We went to a new practice track in Carrolltown, PA on June 30. It is called Mucky Pond Raceway. It is a real nice track comparable to Steel City and High Point. It has good soil for excellent traction and a few high speed sections. I recommend it to anyone that is looking for some good practice. Go to mototracks.com under Scoob Hills for directions or call (814) 344-2034

We went to Steel City on June 10th. The weather was very nice and the track conditions were pretty good. The practice was real muddy because they watered so much and we didn't get a good practice. We felt pretty good in the race but we didn't get very good starts. Marlin went 18-17 with 17th overall and Josh went 21-18 with 21st overall. There were about 30 people in the class.

5/14/01
Since Josh didn't qualify and Marlin did not do very well in the qualifier, we decided to forget about the nationals this year and concentrate on improving. Our goal is to move to the A class by the end of the year. We figure that if a B rider can qualify for the nationals then he is fast enough for A class. So if we improve enough to qualify for B class then we are fast enough for A class. So we plan on focusing on A class because we are not getting any younger.

5/07/01
The qualifier at Pleasure Valley didn't go very well. Marlin did qualify but with an 8th. Josh went down hard the first moto and just couldn't get it together in the second. He ended up with 9th. He is going to participate next weekend and try to qualify again at Field of Dreams

4/30/01
Marlin raced at Sussex County Speedway in Virginia and Josh raced at High Point on April 29th. Marlin went 7-8 with 7th overall out of 14 total. Josh ended up with 18th with 41 riders in the class. We feel pretty good about the qualifier this coming weekend and hopefully we qualify.

4/23/01
To prepare for the qualifier at Pleasure Valley we went to the Pleasure Valley race on April 22nd. It was pretty muddy and we had some trouble the first moto but did a little better the second moto. Josh went 11-7 with a 9th overall and Marlin went 12-9 with a 13th overall. We are going to work hard these next couple weeks and hopefully we will qualify on May 5th-6th.

4/12/01
Josh went to the qualifier at Steel City on March 31st. It was real muddy and he had some bad luck and didn't finish well. He decided not to ride on Sunday. Marlin was traveling overseas for work and could not attend the Steel City qualifier. We are planning on attending the qualifier at Pleasure Valley on May 5th-6th. Hopefully we will have better luck there.

3/12/01
We got another chance to ride on March 9th-11th. The weather was very nice and we got a lot of good riding time in. If the snow melts Josh will be riding at Pleasure Valley Raceway on March 18th. There are two qualifiers coming on March 24th-25th and March 31st-April 1st. Marlin is going to try and go to the qualifier on the 24th and Josh is going to try and go on the 31st.

2/20/01
The weather was very nice on Feb. 9th and 10th and we got to do some practicing. We felt pretty good and are ready for the 2001 season. We are not sure when our first race will be but hope to be racing sometime in March.

1/17/01
The holidays are over and it's time to start thinking about racing again. Marlin and Josh plan to start riding early this year since they have the opportunity to ride in Virginia. We plan on practicing for the first time this year on Feb. 9th.

11/20/00
Things got a little crazy the last couple months and we didn't get a chance to update our web page. Marlin got a job in Norfolk, VA and started on July 3rd. We did get a chance to race most of the District 5 State Championship races.

Marlin graduated and is still waiting to here from a company about future employment. He has been riding a lot because he has so much free time. Josh has been riding with him. Lately we had some bike problems but we got everything in order and our bikes are running great. We plan on racing again soon.

5/2/00
Marlin is studying for finals today and Josh is working. Josh might go riding this afternoon when he gets home. Marlin has to work Thursday and Friday but he definitely wants to go riding Friday afternoon. Josh will probably go with him.

5/1/00
This week Josh plans on doing some practicing, but Marlin has Finals and doesn't know if he will be able to ride this week. They have a wedding to go to on saturday and they might not race on sunday.

Today was our first race of the season. Everything started off good but we later had some problems. The start of the season is usually a little rough but now we got the ball rolling. Hopefully the rest of the....Click here for more!
