     The objectives of the School Plant Operations Review are to monitor the operation of the school plant in reviewing:
  • collective bargaining agreement
  • routine maintenance responsibilities of custodial staff
  • work schedules and responsibilities for cafeteria staff
  • safety codes
  • health and safety regulations
  • emergency information
  • transportation and bus schedules
     I have read and reviewed the handbook, Public School Negotiations, A Complete Guide to Collective Bargaining in Pennsylvania Public Education.

     I have obtained safety codes, health and safety regulations, and emergency information from the principal, and met with him to discuss and review this information.
     I reviewed the handbook, The Student Crisis Assisstance Manual, published by the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown, and the Pennsylvania State Police Safe School Program, for emergency procedures.
     I reviewed the emergency operations plan for Our Mother of Sorrows School, published through the Department of Emergency Services, the Director of Cambria County, Daniel Penatzer.
      I have included recent information form Mrs. Diana Schroeder, committee on school safety, Cambria County.
 

     I have met with Mrs. Roddy, OMOS school cafeteria, head cook, and discussed scheduling and responsibilities for a private school setting.
      I met with Mrs. Nash, Westmont Hilltop Schools, head cook, and discussed scheduling and responsibilities for a public school setting.
      I have included federal funding forms, and lunch menus, and order forms.
      Few differences exist, with the exception that the public school contracts out food services.

     I met with Mr. Plaza, head custodian at OMOS and discussed scheduling and responsibilities for the maintenance staff.
     I met with Mr. Sanford, Westmont administrator responsible for custodial staff at this public school system and discussed scheduling and responsibilities.

     I met with Mrs. Denovich, school secretary at OMOS to discuss busing.  
     I met with Mr. Sanford, Westmont Hilltop Schools to discuss same. I have ncluded the Public School Code for busing. 
     All bus scheduling for the private school is done through the public schools and the bus companies.
