The objectives of the Community into the School Event are to plan a major event the brings the community into the school and examines the results of how teachers and students spend their time together, and to arrange publicity.

I will coordinate a career day during our Catholic Schools Week where parents come and share their careers with students, interested parents, and community members.  This will coincide with our parent's Mass and luncheon when parents visit the classrooms and view student's work.

This project will be completed during Catholic Schools Week, at the end of January, or first week in February.

Through my parent survey, I have established a committee to help plan and carry out this event.  A parent, Mrs. Kiehart, is the chairman.  It is to be held during Catholic Schools Week, January 31st, or February 1st, 2000.
Twenty-five parents have volunteered to speak to classes about their careers. Some careers are; doctors, nurses, a judge, a fireman, a dentist, computer specialists, and craft persons.

During this week, parents come for Mass and lunch, and will view students' work displayed in hallways and classrooms.

This will be completed in February.
